12/13/11

up early with tea and weaving
brekkies were ramen and milk sigh I should know better but can't seem to stop that habit
lunch was a piece of cheese and crackers and almonds and water
I will try to stick with a caffeine mint this afternoon and no soda
dinner tonight will be beer cheese soup and bread
not eating at red robin tonight! yeah me! I hope!

12/12/11

Up early, clothes put away, disaster area that was my dining room is now again my dining room.
had brown rice, tofu and lettuce for brekkies with a mt dew
lunch was potato leek soup and a crossiant
had an apple for snack and a caffeine mint
dinner didn't happen until late then I had a black bean burger- a little too spicy for me and fried pickles. Very odd but I ate them
Oh I also shot archery for about an hour and 1/2

Busy weekend. i ate and drank and moved around much from 5 am on saturday morning til 1 sunday morning. then up and about on sunday. I did take a nap in there...
Not much time to eat junk. I did prolly have a cookie or two more than I should while decorating the tree.

Well surprise! Weight 205 I was expecting far worse! up two pounds from last month but nothing radical. I haven't really been doing much of anything eating bad or exercising. I have been weaving as much as possible. I have holiday prezzies to get out and all! I do plan on getting back on my bike or out for a walk here as well as running another 9 day cleanse. I found strangely that I really like the shake drink they have as meal replacements. And when I haven't had it I kind of miss it. How weird is that?

Have been doing okay lately
Getting back in my groove. Had a bunch of projects that ate up my morning time but have been getting in ab work at least and all this weaving has to count as something. I do work up a sweat.

utter crap kind of weekend
my nephew shot and killed himself
I have no idea what i ate or drank, prolly did too much of both of those.
spent a lot of time either trying not to cry or giving in and letting it go.
He was so very full of despair and self loathing. Most of the family had in the last few years reached out to him to try and help him or at last help him find tools to help himself.
I hope he found the peace he was looking for.
I will miss him and I love him

seems like it was busy
I do know that I made potato pancakes for dinner and ate too many

10/21/11

Up early and weaving with water and tea
breakfast was a sloppy joe and chips- yum ! breakfast of champions
had water and mt dew for lunch
along with four of those wee rat bastard chocolate bars-
Lesson, bring lunch of snacks everyday. Maybe just bring in bag of almonds for my desk? The only problem is that I will eat more than I should if the bag is here. SOOO make lunch everyday.
Dinner tonight is left over soup. I might have some potato chips and onion dip or maybe not. I find that having the little snacks while on the cleanse worked really well to keep my hungry in abeyance.

Oh as a side note, I have arbitrarily decided that beginning in Nov and through the end of the year I am going to get back on my bike for 45 minutes a day. At least during the work week and supplement it with walks on the weekends. While I am pleased with the weight loss from the cleanse program, I really want to be fit as much as anything and not just loose skin.

chocolate milk is my after dinner snack
did not go according to plans I ended up eating to mock sloppy joes for dinner with potato chips and a glass of milk

Dinner was whore pasta- two bowls- I paid in heart burn for that later! water and a small piece of french bread.

Been busy but doing good. I have been a little worried about the weight from the Isagenex. It seemed that I lost so much rapidly that it would all come back with a vengeance and then some!
But so far so good:

Weight 203 last month 209 end of the cleanse I was 202

bust: 42 which is where it was after the cleanse
waist: 37 up 1/2 inch since the cleanse
hips: 45 no change
Thigh:23 right back to were I was before
calf:17 also back to were I was before
bicep: 12 1/2 not quite back to the beginning.

Still feeling blah
had lemon ginger tea
took Avalon driving. She is getting better
lunch was a cheese sandwich and a soda
went up to Rocky mountain national park but did not get to hear any elk bugling
dinner was zucchini gratin. I threw some carrots and potatoes in there as well. Very tasty and I should have stopped at 1 helping. I thought I felt good enough to eat two. :( I think that is one thing I am finding from the cleanse, that overeating does not make me feel good and two mt dew doesn't taste as good but I am drinking hoping for the energy burst.

tummy was not happy all day
had more mt dew to try and perk me up for the day's activities
lunch was three veggie empantas, 1/2 a tangerine and a brownie + more mt dew

I am thinking I might actually be ill as I am not at all feeling the caffeine

Up early had tea
wove for an hour and then rode my bike for 10.5 miles and 1/2 hour. I did not get to my abs as my hunny abducted me and had his wicked way with me. I was okay with that interruption in my morning routine.

dinner tonight will be a shake and an apple
Going out with friends and might just have some kind of calorie filled fruit smoothie

had no real lunch but did have mt dew. Had 4 mini chocolate bars

dinner was pepperande and arinci de rizo. It was a perfect combination. Oh my! I had two helpings and then was miserable all night long. :(

I did start up doing some sets of lunges here at work I have done two sets of 20 one around 11 and
the second around 2.
Fighter practice tonight so a night of rushing around. always a good thing. I think I will sleep deep tonight.

Up early but not weaving, curling my hair for an event.
As usually spent most of the day on my feet and chatting.
I did have ramen fortification for breakfast.
A handful of dried fruit for lunch with a mt dew and lots of water
I didn't walk quite as much as usually as there were some slave boys involved and palanquin. It is a good gig if you can get it.
dinner was a lemonade, french fires and grilled asparagus

09/30/11

slept in this morning
that was very nice I could have had a real breakfast but somehow ended up just havinga shake out of habit and motoring on with the day

had mt dew, hmm, didn't savor it as much as I thought I might. It was ok
lunch was a bunch of grapes 2 croissants and a piece of apple coffeecake
had caffeine tab and water
the difference
I lost a total of 7 pounds. 1 inch in my neck, upper arms, abdomen, thigh and calves
and 2 inches in my chest, waist and buttocks.
Now then when I do my regular weigh in on the 15th we will see how long it lasts. I do like that I feel pretty good. By the end I found I wasn't craving like i was at the beginning. I was hungry and I did miss eating meals.
I do hope that this might help with portion control. Always a hard thing for me. and the fact I am not craving the dew is also a good thing. I suspect I will have one now and again but there will be no compulsion. that is a good thing. I like being in control of my destiny!

going to a concert tonight of Erasure so I am sure there will be at least 20 minutes of dancing that will happen!

Did not have the shake for dinner, dancing was for more like 3 hours

lunch a cheese sandwich, no mayo, with lettuce, tomato and pickle and water did have a mt dew but no caffeine tablets all day so far doing pretty good. I am a little sleepy but no headache or shakes.

weight: 204-really a 5 pound difference?
bust: 42.5 okay 1/2 and inch
waist:36.5 1/2 inch difference
hips: 45 nothing changed in my hips
Thigh:22.5 - really I haven't seen a change there before 1/2 inch
calf:16 okay that is just weird but yes my calves are a whole inch less
bicep: 13 nothing changed in my bicep.

I have been taking caffeine pills everyday to keep the headaches away but I have not had soda since I have started the cleanse.

now we reach teh hardest part of teh day and sure enough it was. I made pesto and could not stop from having a small piece of bread and some pesto. I made myself eat a couple breath mints and leave the kitchen.

I did ride my bike for 24 minute and 8.5 miles I stopped earlier than usual as my head was not amused and I had a splitting headache. Took some advil
I also took my caffeine tab this morning and afternoon.

I will admit some trepidation in stepping on the scale this morning but I did and was surprised

breakfast was a cup of gloop. It actually wasn't too bad.

after noon snack is 6 almonds and more water
dinner tonight is a cup of vanilla gloop and more water
I am going to medieval dance practice tonight. I hope my man is going with me!

Oh and my figures:
weight: 209 big surprise as I was 216 last month! I will take that loss of 7 lbs!
bust: 43 aha! I lost 2 inches from the 45 of last month
waist:39 still the same
hips: 45 from last month lost 1/2 an inch
nothing changed in the following measurements.

calf:17
bicep: 13

On this program I am to take my measurements again on day 5 and day 11.
It is supposed to be "cleansing" program not just a starvation diet so what will really be telling is what happens in month. Will it all just crawl back on? I hope it is really a kick start for me to keep being healthy. I can't deny that having my weight below 200 pounds is appealing.

It was a sunday.
I got up early to take Avalon driving. I had a mt dew
breakfast was a cheese lettuce and tomato sandwich and water
Did all my regular sunday stuff. I did not get my lawn mowed. I really need to attend to that before we get in trouble with the city.
ate a bunch of doritoes for lunch with a glass of milk
dinner was potato leek soup with homemade rolls and the zucchini gratin and 4 mint milanos for dessert. Had water and a glass of coke.
Still think I am panic eating but I will do my best with the program that starts in the morning

My baby's b-day Avalon is 18 today. Wow- it just doesn't seem that long
Had soda but no breakfast
went shopping for her prezzies and then we went out to lunch.
I had tofu and egg roll noodle bowl at this Vietnamese restaurant. With a glass of water and a sour sop boba drink. I will fess up to using the fish sauce on my noodles as it just tastes so good.
Avalon went to a friend's house for a party and Jim and I had popcorn and gelato for dinner while curled up on the couch and watching sucker punch.

Dinner was pasta with fire roasted tomato sauce and 2 big old glasses of mt dew. Spent the evening with Holly, Chris Yoder and Ron. We played trivia at Old Chicago until about 11:00

dinner was a baked potato, a half ear of corn and a few pieces of lettuce and a 1/2 bottle of rose.

Spent the am cleaning up projects and packing stuff for the weekend trip.
Not sure what I am having for lunch today I am having water right now and will have a mt dew.

Then I go grocery shopping and pack the car.

moving very slowly this morning as I did not get home until about 2:30. Too old for that!
Ate a good breakfast of poached egg and cheese on an english muffin.
Still terribly dehydrated from yesterday so drank much water
did get somethings done but not all that I wanted.

Yes I can see into the future and I know that this day will be busy.
I have an event that I need to leave the house by 8:30.
So I will be up around 6:00
I won't have a mt dew in the am because I will be taking an allergy pill. Bad idea to mix the two. I will be out on the plains walking and talking and doing lost.
I plan on lunch being an apple, some cheese and bread. I most likely will be feed other things through out the day
Will be drinking lots of water
I am eating feast and I am not really sure exactly what I will end up being feed. Kind of scary! But let's just jump right in there.
Hopefully will be home around 11 and then get some aerobic exercise in with a little rumpy-pumpy!
the night did not go quite as planned. dinner was a salad and some veggies and water. I thought I was being handed a glass of lemonade and while it had lemonade in it it also had vodka and everclear. I stayed at the event until about 1am. when I could finally feel my nose again

breakfast was the last of the cheese sticks. yeah, i know not so healthy for two meals in a row but on the bright side, they are all gone now! Fridge was empty, so very empty. i will cook up some brown rice tonight.

dinner- who knows what dinner will be. I have fighter practice tonight and while would rather eat before, ooo wait I am not hitting the red robin tonight so should really forage for some kind of dinner.
dinner turned out to be a cheese, lettuce and tomato sandwich and then a small bowl of peach sorbet. it was mighty tasty!

Good and busy weekend.
Spent all day at an event- which means lots of walking and not so much eating
sunday went for a 4.7 mile hike up in the mountains and laughed a lot.

dinner was a squash dish with onions and sage topped with sour cream
then after practice I was so hot and thirsty, I had two glasses of water and three raspberry lemonades. Had wonderful dreams!

What fun I had

Oh yes, I had some fun at the event this weekend. It started my day off wonderfully well to gift a newcomer one of our pilgrim badges and his very sweet and emotional response, left me buzzing the rest of the day.
Watched the fighting part of the morning, watched the weaving, played hurley with a bunch of children and adults. We made a grown man cry with honor, which of course made me cry!
The afternoon I spread out a blanket under the shade and made pinwheels with- well it was supposed to be with children but they were having such fun on their own that I ended up with the teens. That was okay, we had fun talking and discovering that the pinwheel kit was really pretty tricky and would have probably frustrated the younger set.
Evening was spent around the fire listening to poems and songs until the embers burnt low.

08/21/11

Up early again! I took Avalon to a big empty parking lot and let her get behind the wheel. She only wanted to drive for a little bit so after 1/2 we went and bought bagels.
i had a bagel for breakfast with sun dried tomato cream cheese
did have mt dew
did all my sunday stuff
lunch was a package split with Avalon of deep fried green beans
not too health but mighty tasty!
had caffeine tab
dinner was cheese tortellini with homemade blue cheese sauce and brussels sprouts in garlic with a piece of bread.
I did have a couple small scoops of peach sorbet just to clear the garlic flavor later in the evening and before jumping my man. I do wonder about the caloric burn of rumpy-pumpy...

Although it was saturday, i was up mighty early and on my way.
i was on my feet and moving throughout the day from about 6:00am getting ready until 11:00pm
had a mt dew
no breakfast to speak of but a multi-vitamin
had water
lunch was a couple pieces of shortbread, some cheese curds and another mt dew
had a strawberry smoothie in the late afternoon
motion continued later until I made it home and then happy, bliss, rapture, I sleep!

So I have been having a strange day today. I really don't try and notice dates, frankly I am usually too busy to pay attention. But I know what day today is and even stranger is the thought that 30 years ago today was the first time I slept with Dennis. Yep, weird day.

will be packing and spending some nice time with my hunny. I am hoping to get Xena out for a walk before I leave the house for a few days. We will see what actually gets done besides my man and packing. My flight is early morning. So I will probably have a broken night of sleep panicking that I might sleep through the alarm.

08/06-07/11

Up early on saturday
had ramen and milk for breakfast. Spent the day out at an event, walking and hanging and got a bunch of spinning done. Had a mt dew and lots of water. Lunch was bread and cheese and grapes
Dinner was two pieces of cheese pizza and milk
up early on sunday went for a 5 mile hike up rattlesnake gulch. When I say up I mean up, the hike was pretty much pure elevation. Had ramen and milk for breakfast. Lunch was a Pb&J and some lime tortilla chips and water.
Got home and was ready for a nap.
dinner was spinach feta noodles- finally! and water with a bit of cottage cheese on the side.

might get another 1/2 in this afternoon. I have been wanting to get that extra time in. Of course I have been wanting to get any time in so may not push it.

What ended up happening was not bike ride and good food. Instead I ate a 1/2 carton of ice cream and sat on the couch thinking about a nap. I have to actually buy the spinach to make the noodles. i just keep lacking the motivation to get to the store after work

I got the tummy wobbles around 3 I am thinking that the smoked tofu sandwich might not have been the best. It was kind of dodgy when I ate it but was hungry so finished it.
will make dinner tonight, prolly quorn patties- kind of quiet bland food.
Have sooooo much to do tonight, freaking out a little about it but will get all I can done. And it will pass when I get a chance to actually get to work!

Kind of a rough week. One of the very few "not Tilleman" co-workers died on tuesday morning. I knew he hadn't been feeling well and he had been in an out of the hospital since the end of may but he said he was going to be out over the weekend. I guess he was right and maybe he knew the truth of it and just tweaked it so we thought he was saying he would be home. he was also a friend and walking by his empty office is very hard. So I am thrilled everyday to hear that you are still walking this earth with me.
eating has been odd, not bad but not the greatest, mt dew is far too easy and I keep grabbing for it.
I want comfort food of deep fried but have been fighting with that and having salads instead.
I continue to count my blessing and give thanks to whom ever might be listening in the universe. Maybe that is my coping skill, when things are getting to break me apart, I list what I do have. It is a long list and by the end I do realize that is so much to be grateful for.

Don't know how people can live in hot places that have humidity without the murder rate being higher.
It did not cool off at all last night ugh.
Kept the window shut and the AC on all night- I really don't like doing that.

had water while weaving. Ended up staying on the loom so that it is fulled dressed and ready for weaving. Good grief I need to be able to weave! I hadn't realized what peace that gives me until I hadn't done it for a while and then when I get back. Boom! I can feel the tension drain away.

diner tonight is salad and rolls, I hope. I have a bunch of stuff to do tonight so I might just grab a hand full of chips on the run. Not the best but I will keep me from chowing down on fries.
Dinner was none of the above. When I got home from my bike ride I ate two ice cream sammies.
Then around 9 I was starving- not actually starving but stressed so ended up eating a bunch of cheese pizza rolls.

Ate very poorly over the weekend. Far too much and mostly crap
did a lot of work though, hung a door on saturday am, went dancing until my feet gave out on saturday night. Sunday was filled with glass and house stuff. I did jump on the stationary bike for 1/2 an hour. So to justify the cheese sticks earlier in the day, no but just to get my rump moving.

Crazy busy weekend. Lots of walking and working and water and caffeine tabs. i did break down and have a mt dew in the late afternoon.
Breakfast on saturday was oatmeal with brown sugar
lunch was a piece of quiche with spinach and a cookie
two large glasses of wine crossed my lips during the day
dinner was a bowl of veggie stew and bread and a mini cheesecake
Sunday breakfast was scrambled eggs and cheese burrito and a donut
lunch was pineapple and jalapeno pizza
no dinner to speak of as something from camping moved everything through me very very quickly.
I did have a mt dew on sunday as well but there was sooo much to do and mostly got done and put away. the house is close to being back to normal.

Was pretty good all weekend. helped a friend move on saturday
cleaned out another friends garage on sunday and moved a bunch of stuff to someone else's house on monday.
Did get a few of my things done over the weekend.
Was good with the soda. I ran an experiment with caffeinated mints that I think will take me over the soda edge. it will be nice to get that out of my system. Now just have to stick with it!
I did binge on ramen over the long weekend. It is just so damn convenient.

Weekend was good. Probably over caffeinated but then again I did clean my garage on saturday and then help clean out a big trailer on sunday, set up a couple tens, take them back down and repack a trailer. I did eat well on both days.
This morning was slow moving. So not keeping with my plan. Why am I suddenly unable to find the desire to keep exercising?

have been doing good both eating and excepting except today. Today was raining and cool and bed was very nice.
over the weekend was filled with walking and working in the yard at at an event. Must remember to sunscreen my cleavage.
Monday was a very good day, rode into work and that was so easy after having been riding indoors all winter. I love coasting! then took my dog for a long walk when I got home.
Tuesday was busy I opted to weave in the am for longer as I want to finish what I have on now so I can get to the next project. I spent the evening on my feet from 6-9 walking and talking

I will really have to learn to say no to certain things. I just like the way food tastes

I also like the way food feels. Textures are very important to me. Probably why the slim fasts are non palatable for me.
have been walking and with the stuff coming up will have to insist on getting my bum moving either on the bike or walking. I am important and need to take care of myself. Walking and biking feel good for me and while that extra few minutes in bed also feel good... hmm have to find some good compromise there.

I should not be surprised but often am when I exercise after a while of not doing so, of how good I feel. Now am wondering if the blechy feelings I have been experiencing have been due to NOT exercising. Such a wicked little feedback loop.

Discovery about myself. I really like goals. I have a vested interest in exercising every day besides just my health. Which agreed should be the first reason but hey, I don't mind the extra motivation.
Which is in June there will be a bunch of new photos of me and I would rather have a couple of them at least look good to my eyes.

maybe I am feeling guilty and sulking still about being podgy. Yeah I know the work outs would help. I did get a couple walks and bike rides in this weekend and I did keep soda consumption down to one or two a day.
With all the crazy coming up this summer and knowing I will be in a picture or two, I will be getting a little more drastic in calorie control and exercising. Two hours a day they tell is what I need to achieve to make some difference in my body. Where the heck do I get that extra hour a day? Apparently, my current amount of exercise is only good for maintenance. So upping my game and finding ways to sneak another hours worth of exercise into my world.
I will let you know how that goes.

I know that is not the way to lose it but I am might frustrated and this just seems to keep moving slower. Maybe I am eating more at meals? I will adjust my portions again.
Okay evaluate maybe change up my eating again. I have started eating more for lunch than I had been. I just opted for the yogurt and fruit + a protein lunch. Need to start making my favorite salad for every other day. Breakfast needs to be either a poached egg or cottage cheese.
Need to keep water as the drink of choice. 2nd mt dew or soda must be out of my life.

will probably have a third soda today as we will be playing d&d- maybe I will talk myself into making tea instead. Somehow I feel less guilty about drinking tea, even though I use about the same amount of sugar. Or maybe I will just buckle down and say no to myself and drink just water. Don't laugh- it could happen. :)

Interesting side effect of the crunches, I find myself sitting up straighter. Which is good as I have a tendency to hunch my back. So yeah!

went for about a 40 minute walk before dinner which was nice. I needed that spring wind blowing through my hair and clearing my thoughts.

yep even though crampy got up and did what I needed to do. I feel better for the exercise but would have rather been curled under a blanket in dreamland. Had big glass of water

was good with soda but crap with food. I wanted fatty foods, found myself craving ham so eat a bunch of peanutbutter. then bought reeses pieces to get even more and I think I have final OD'ed on them.
Had deep fried food far too much during the weekend and feel massively bloated.
Will work on detoxing this week.
am menstrual right now so won't start too soon!

spent the weekend traveling arizona and to one of the sca wars. It was fun, mostly and might do it again. But ate mostly healthy went a bit over on soda, walked my ass off and worked hard in a dust storm to help my friends pack up their tents. Think I got a mild case of hypothermia on saturday but am warm now.

clothes all folded and put away and exercising done I am thinking after my 42 days I am going to swap out to one day 15 mile and the next only 8 as I am losing my weaving time and that is hard on me. I like what is happening to my body but miss my mediation time.

1/30 the ride is actually 42 minutes and 15 miles but I figure I still get some the the extra calorie burn when I get to the abdominal exercises. I feel pretty good. I have noticed that my mood runs with whether or not I exercise. More so that I tend to be more reactive when I don't exercise.

I have decided that february will be a hit it hard bike month. I want to ride for at least 45 minutes a day. I have a small trip to Az. in the middle bit but have already graced those days as i will be walking around all day while there so if I discover it doesn't make up for it then will add three days in March.
