forgot the nasty bad headaches that come with cutting down on the caffeine. shoot me now. But I am being good and having water and advil instead of mt dew.

had a good weekend. discovered how to make cinnamon popcorn. Damn. It is very very tasty.
I am down to one soda a day. It has been hard and tempting to drink another but I have managed. Woot to me! Mostly good on food. People have sent many yummy munchables but I have been mostly restraint. Did I mention the cinnamon popcorn?
Even worse a temptation is ramen- it calls me hard but now it has been two weeks without it. Woot.
I have been eating more fruit and raw veggies.
Tonight I am making swiss cheese fondue with cauliflower, broccoli and steamed potatoes and bread.

slept in. Snowed all night so we will have a white x-mas.
Doing good with eating regular meals.
Had been doing good with only one soda. Until today. I had 1 and 1/2
Dinner tonight will be beer cheer soup and fresh bread.
Then up to me mums for making of the cookies.
Maybe can even get some hunny time tonight. At the rate we are going, might not get that until next year.

did not have a good weekend. I went to three different parties, and while I tried to stay moderate- just could not resist good food. But on a GREAT! note, I have been keeping my soda intake to ONE a day. That is something I am very proud of. I have been trying to wait until 10:00 before I get one and then sip it until 1. I have a big old glass of h2o and two peppermint candies. so the water is not so watery.
I have been sleeping good and getting a bunch done for x-mas. Reagan I have sent you out two packages. You should get them both before the day, but I could not send them together.
Colleen and Patrick should be down tomorrow for a couple days. Hope the weather stays nice for them to travel. there is supposed to be a big snow storm heading our way. Which is okay as I have everything but one thing ready.

So my last post was all- ooo I am so motivated and then the world turns and I get caught in it. I had a choice, I had some tasks that needed to get done but little time so had an extra soda in my daily allotment and wow! i got so much do that my self brain said- see caffeine is good, you should have lots of it, all the time, it makes you so productive and creative. You deserve extra sodas as they really help you get the most of each day. I work hard to tell self, go to the corner and be quiet for a while.

Have been having a good breakfast everyday, eating decent lunches and dinners. Getting up at 5 every morning and weaving. Hope my mum's rugs get done in time and she likes them.
I have been super busy so will say that I have been getting some exercise in. I have been forcing myself up and down the stairs a few extra times. Girls laugh as it looks like I have lost it a bit as they watch me come down, drop of some tool needed for whatever project I have then go back up and down. Maybe I should do it with my laundry, one handful at a time.

I am suddenly smacked with some holiday spirit and I do not have my decorations up or anything. Almost done with all presents. Shipped the ones to the east coast and hope to get all the rest out tomorrow.

Dinner tonight is Welsh Rarebit. Basically it is a cheese sauce but I then steam cauliflower and asparagus, slice tomatoes and toast english muffins to cover with cheese sauce.

slept in this morning. I really should not have as I have a bunch of projects that need to be done by saturday. I will attend them tonight.
Had big old glass of water with my oatmeal for breakfast.
I am having a dew right now and I am thinking- how long will it take until I forget how it tastes? I hope to fill the caffeine requirement with unsweetened tea
Lunch is the other 1/2 of yesterdays tofu and garlic sauce. that will mean big glass of water as well.

Dec 8

My hunny and I have decided to take a trip to France. This will up my actively losing weight. I would like to not be uncomfortable for the flight and buying French clothes would rock my world. So what can I do? I had already planned to cut down my soda to one a day. I can also cut out extra sugar in my tea. I can work much harder on portion control and get my butt out for more walks and bike rides. I have 10 months and would like to create habits that I can keep.

I was up early and got some housework done as well as some weaving.
breakfast was oatmeal, I cut the amount of brown sugar i put in it and I still found it tasty. I had a cup of tea and again kept the sugar down.
Lunch will be 1/3 order of tofu in garlic sauce and white rice and a cup of hot and sour soup. Big old cup of water.
Having a mt dew now and trying to keep it as long as possible
I am going to start up my 6 -5 minute work outs during the day again.
Dinner tonight is mock chicken soup and bread. Will have a glass of milk with it.

I stayed out late last night teaching a class in warping looms down in Denver. I did not get home until way passed my bedtime. But it was a good night
Breakfast was oatmeal and cup of peppermint tea
had a mt dew already this morning
Lunch will be a piece of cheese pizza
will have another soda this afternoon and try to get a big glass of water in me.
Dinner is going to be skillet (zuchinni, tomatoes, and onions sauteed. then cheese melted over top and served over rice or noodles- depends on what I feel like cooking)

Total utter crap day. I should say that the day was not bad but I was.

It has been a year since we have been writing. I think it is still a good thing to do. 1 is makes me really think about what I have been eating. 2 it points out some very bad habits that I need to kick. 3. keeps me in touch with you a little more

Nov 21-29

I was up everyday at 5:00 and got a great amount of weaving done. Four projects on and off the looms. Did not quite get all I wanted but a really good chuck, so I am pleased.
I ate fairly well- healthy anyway. I kept my soda consumption way down until saturday. I felt the pressure of ending my vacation and the desire to get more done so drank three on both sat and sun. Sigh.
Each day had breakfast and some other meal. Sometimes it was lunch and sometimes dinner. I felt very good about the week.

Up early and actually did a good bit of weaving and more important got excited about weaving. I have been putzing around the last couple weeks and i actually became excited over what was on my loom. It had been there for a couple months and I just was not looking forward to weaving it at all.

not sure about lunch but that will get sussed out soon enough
Dinner is beer cheese soup. Those onions I had been soaking in beer are going to be drained away and thrown out and I will be using the liquid for soup base. that will make Timony sooo happy as she won't have to pick out the onions but we all will still get the onion flavor.

up early at least for a few minutes
took a coupe aspirin for nasty bad headache with a little oj and went back to bed
got up again later feeling much better. Had cup of cinnamon tea, croissant and lovely oatmeal for breakfast.

lunch was a cheese sandwich and some tasty but bad for me onion sour cream chips
had other mt dew.
Dinner was supposed to be Kosheri but I think it may not be due to the onions freezing and they may not make good onion rings. I will give it a try but suspect slime will ensure rather than crisp fried onion goodness.
Dinner turned out to be stirred egg with tomato and rice. Yum!

up early but frittered away my morning. I tried warping my loom but kept making huge and stupid mistakes. So I figured the universe was telling me to stop. Who am I to argue with the universe?
Had a mt dew with breakfast. Breakfast was a poached egg with cheddar cheese and english muffin.
I have been very consciously trying not to push my soda limit as I had my first one early.
Have had two cups of herbal tea
Lunch was leftover tofu with garlic sauce and noodles and much water.
I will have another soda but trying hard to make it for later this afternoon.
Don't have any idea what is for dinner yet.
dinner was some mock chicken soup. Avalon has the crud now and the amount of garlic in that soup will either cure or kill. She was still walking after eating it. That could be a good sign or she is a zombie.

Had a good weekend. My brother in Law and his girlfriend flew out from N.H. and were their arms sore! They came out for a week but motored around the state a bit. They went up to estes park for a romantic night then over to Wyoming to see Colleen.
I cooked a thanksgiving dinner for everyone one friday. Of course the fridge decided to be going out. Not really but the little vent from the freezer to the fridge part decided not to open very much. So things stayed cool enough but not cold.
Saturday was putzing around with my hunny doing crafty stuff. then saturday night we went out for dinner with friends. I had a garden burger and fries.
Sunday was odd- I didn't have breakfast- remember I said no more ramen. But then I went grocery shopping and bought jalapeno poppers.
i did stay on track with just two sodas a day. I am getting ready for the big drop to just one after Christmas.

Wow I wish that was what I had for dinner but instead I had a french fry sandwich. I learned about these bad boys while in England and man o man do I crave them now and again- fortunately not often!

nov 6-7-8

friday was a great day until the end. We had a surprise party for a friend and that for some reason entailed a lot of cheese. I like cheese. Of course there are consequences for eating too much cheese.
Saturday and sunday were regular days kept to my soda limits and ate well. Although I find myself craving a chip body right now ( while in England I was introduced to these horrible wonderful things) It is like a hamburger but with no meat and french fries in the middle. Yum.

Nov 2nd

Well we are in our 1 year anniversary of writing the blog.
Last week I finally got real sick- woohoo! actually it was a relief. I gave myself time to be ill and rest. Like I really had a choice? Anyway, I had not much of an appetite but was very thirsty and drank much tea and ginger ale. It started on tuesday and I really did not get hungry again until friday night at 1:00 in the morning. I woke up so incredibly starving. My illness was well timed with a big old snow storm last week. I did end up cooking almost every night while I was home. I did eat during that time but not much.
I found my stomach had shrunk as well so portion control was simple. Add to that I was not drinking caffeinated soda or tea and so when I did actually have a can of coke, that was a heady experience!
Up early, got all the clean clothes put away and the kitchen cleaned.
breakfast was oatmeal and two pieces of toast and a cup of peach tea.
I have been nursing a mt dew all morning
I think lunch is going to be spaghettieos.
dinner tonight is pad thai. Tofu, rice noodles and peanut sauce- yum!

Had an odd weekend. I ate a lot of food but stayed with good stuff. Had tons of grapes- always a dubious idea anyway, but that made everything MOVE swiftly through.
Made rolled oats for breakfast- yum I just love the texture
had No ramen all weekend. That makes me very happy.

had some nice quiet time this weekend. Very much enjoyed that.

Also had a bad weekend.
ate waaaaaaayy to much but had kept soda consumption in line.]
work is continuing to slow down. Not good. The FDIC still holds our loan and won't sell it back to us. Watching that pull my folks to pieces is not good. It throws my sister into super bitch mode- also not very good. One the the sales guys here has been in the hospital now three times with some internal bleeding and they really haven't found the cause.
I keep feeling less than good but not sick enough to stay home. I would rather be all out blechy than 1 hour throat hurts and am sniffly and next all is good. and the random cough.

I am going to try to NOT have a mt dew this afternoon but a big glass of water and a couple peppermints.
Dinner tonight is twice baked potatoes, corn on the cob and salad.

Sept 19 & 20

Saturday was an up early day. I made scrambled eggs with swiss cheese for breakfast. Skipped lunch as we were working on those last details to make the bathroom done. I know I had two mt dews. Went to a friends party and had a quesadilla with jack cheese and black beans, some snow peas and a cookies.
Sunday was spent running around. Breakfast was a piece of poundcake and mt dew. Lunch was raman and milk dinner was a mock sloppy joe and potato chips. I know I had my limit on soda for the day and might have even passed it. tried to drink more water. I bought no more ramen at the store. Even though Timony asked for it, I told her know as I have no restaint if it in the house.

sept 9-10

totally have blown both good eating and mt dew intake these last couple days. grrrr to me This bathroom project just keeps lingering. I thought to myself last night, self we are going to paint this bathroom tonight and stay up to do it. I had a 3rd dew yesterday around 6:00. Then was done by 10:00 and still wired for sound and light! I also did not eat so good yesterday. I think I had ramen for breakfast and dinner. This morning I was up at 5 and did the touch up of the paint and places that need second coats. That also meant thatI had a dew to revive me as I slept like crap last night. I want a nap. Had two pieces of toast and a doughnut for breakfast this morning. Who knows what lunch will be.
Dinner at least is very very good- Kosheri, lentils and rice and crisp fried onion rings topped with a spicy and pungant tomato based sauce that I made this morning. With lots of water. I have a friend coming over tonight with "1776" and chocolate fondue.

Sept 5-6-7

Worked very hard all weekend ate food during it all. Worked in the bathroom on saturday and sunday. Monday was a break and i worked out in my nasty gnarly tangle of a lawn. Got it looking almost decent. Still not sure what to do about the g-d weeds in our patio. After all the bathrooms get done, I think a flamethrower and cement.
I was mostly good with soda intake. Jim's b-day was sunday so I made him a lovely breakfast and Colleen came down from Wy. It was a nice morning.
Still found myself reachingto make ramen rather than the lovely brown rice I made up. Must get over that and just do it. Had an epiphany this weekend about the house and yard. I guess it was one more step in the growning up. That it really is my house and if I want it to be lovely then I have to do the work to make it that way. It just doesn't happen. spent all weekend working in the bathroom. Each layer we went down we found more devastation. So we had to rebuild from the flooring up. That has been interesting. I know I ate okay over the weekend. I probably burned up everything I ate by going up and down the stairs so many times. I think I had three mt dews on saturday.

dinner is scrounge tonight we are going to see a concert so i will try and save my afternoon soda until way late as to really get the full effects. Since concert doesn't start until 8:00 and I am usually in bed by 9:00 it will be good to have an extra kick to keep me awake later.

I am making a turkey dinner tonight for some friends from Croatia and my hunny. He likes turkey when ever he can get it. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. Lots of water I think as well.

aug 22&23

busy weekend but I did good with no over consumption of soda or caffeinated beverages.
saturday I took the girls school shopping and then we went to see cirque du soleil in the afternoon. we went out to dinner that night at the spaghetti factory. Cool interior- lots of stained glass and booths made from beds- older beds.
Sunday was spent in Lowe's figuring out what all we need to fix our bathroom. The wall behind the nozzle seems to have rotted out. I found this out when I went to shave my leg, put my foot on the bath lip and my toes bumped a tile. The tile popped into the wall. Sigh, now we have a new bathtub, wall and enclosure to put in, along with a new sink and tile. It will look great when done but not the project I planned on for the rest of the weekend. Still even under that extra stress, ate decent meals and did not over eat.

WOoHOo the blog is working again.
I have been mostly good. This week has seen a bit more than usual as we have been going to a couple restaurants with family and friends. Avalon leaves on saturday. I plan to use my sadness as further motivation for riding my bike harder. I am going for three days a week every week until the snow flies.
I have been keeping pretty good to my 2 sodas a day. I have been having a cup of tea in the early am. I love when the weather turns and there is that crispness on the breeze.
I have a busy yard work weekend planned for sunday. Getting the weeds out of the patio and trimming the hedges. I also have a couple glass pieces planned. Of course now that we are in the fall of the year everything goes really fast. In fact I believe that every weekend between this one and Nov has something planned. I wonder if I did that on purpose or just the way it all falls this year? Anyway, will be devoted to daily writing and getting more exercise.
I popped my knee out last week and have been letting it rest. Then someone recommended to me Glucosamine suppliments. I have been usingthem since monday and oh lalalala my knee feels so much better, and my back and my hip and well, I am happy it it helping. I have been reading about it on line and there is some question of it interferring with blood sugar levels. I will dosome more research.

I did cave into the ' I know I need to eat but I don't know what" which is usually ramen and milk. This day was no exception. I did ride my bike into work as the monsoons seem to have chilled out. Might still get a brief shower today but that should be okay.

lunch was a salad with blue cheese, craisins, red onion, lettuce and poppyseed dressing. And a handful of chili cheese fritoes

Dinner tonight is penne ala vodka, cottage cheese and green beans.
Might have 1/2 of a black cow after the meeting.

Aug 1&2

had a good weekend and really manage to keep things in check even with extra stress of Timony's bike wash. Saturday was puttering around getting everything we needed for sunday. Sunday was the wash and we were up and going from about 7:30 to 5:00. When I got home, I then had to do my regular sunday stuff, laundry and grocery shopping. I keptthe soda consumption down to 2 a day and did get some good food.

Such a bloody slacker.
I have not be blogging as regularly as I had been. I guess I have hit a slump. Part if what is slumping me is seeing recent photos of myself. Most the time my vision of myself is in my head and then I see a photo and it just is depressing to see that image that the world actually has- not how I feel I look.
Slumping on food too, eating far more than I should and not good stuff. I have only been riding my bike one day a week for the last month or so. What is up with that- I like riding my bike- it helps reduce my stress and makes me feel good. Could blame it on the rain, but I know that getting rained on will only make me wet and I will dry.
Summer yuckies?
sigh- I need to work harder on getting to work on my bike more, cutting out more bad eating habits and encouraging better habits.

I had a potato and egg burrito for breakfast
rode my bike into work but have felt blah all day.

lunch was leftover ragout. sauce still makes my toes curl even in gummy pasta.
Not sure what I am making for dinner tonight. Probably scrounge, which could mean that I eat a bowl of peanuts and have a glass of milk or that I actually make something.

July 18-19

had an event on saturday so brought grapes, bread and cheese and then was also fed noodles with peanut sauce and grated carrots & cucumbers. Yum. I also had a mt dew in the am tons of water through out the day and a coke in the afternoon.
Sunday was a fun cooking day. I had two pieces of toast with peanut butter for brekkies. then for lunch I made grilled cheese and tomato soup. Then I cookies chocolate chip cookies, breakfast burritoes and dinner was a lovely french dish with a complex sauce that rocks my world. I made the mistake of putting it over egg noodles. this is a mistake because the lovely lovely sauce gets all gummed up by the pasta. Next time I will make either rice or polenta to use as the starch because they will soak up the sauce but not get gummy. I love having a day to just cook. I also made crescent rolls and ended up eating more of those than I should, with thick slices of havarti cheese.

Have been stress eating a lot lately but at least have been keeping the soda intake to 2- mostly

Had expected to have extra but my hunny came home hungry.

sunday was much better regular breakfasts and lunches and only one mt dew. I guess that makes up for saturday. Went up to friends house and we did some dyeing with natural dyes. I was amazed at some of the colors we got. Will have pictures up on the facebook page

slept in today as the dreams were in full technicolor and intriguing. Skipped breakfast- bad i know but since it was tuesday figured I would make up the calories in chinese food. Had some water and a mt dew earlier.
I am eating seame tofu and am not very happy with it. For a long time I used to order it and then I switched to tofu with garlic sauce. Now that I am eating the sesame tofu again I find it way too sweet and oily. So skipping breakfast might have been good for calories, it sucks that I am stuck now with being hungry but the food I have is not very good.
will be drinking more water to at least wash this down and will have another dew later
I didn't make quiche last night so it is on the schedule for tonight!

Not sure where the days went but I have been pretty good. making healthy food for dinner and bringing my lunch. I have been keeping to 2 sodas a day and watching portions. I have ridden my bike twice in that time frame. I had friday off and wove up a scarf for timony and some trim for the sca. I am hoping to get pictures of it all. I got some housework done and the lawn mowed. We have had these freak afternoon storms the last couple days. I mean really freaky- the thunder just keeps rolling without us seeing the lightening flashes. yesterday started warm and calm and then around 3 this wind storm whips up and then the rain and we get 1 1/2 inches in about 1/2 hour and then it goes away. then late in the evening anotehr storm blows through that leaves hail drifts on the sides of the roads. Crazy.
Colleen and Patrick came over for lunch on sunday. I made spinach dip which they both like, deviled eggs, and potato pizza. I also bought a chicken for them to ingest and some pinapple for dessert. It was nice.

I have today off as well so I am puttering right now. Will go shopping and finish cleaning up my stuff from the weekend. I had ramen and milk for breakfast. It is so darn quick and easy that I can't help making it. I will just have to stop buying it again. Drinking a mt dew right now.

had some time off for a camping trip with my SCA friends. We ran a IFGS type event in the mountains based on Dante's Inferno. We had a great deal of fun. An afternoon rain shower on saturday took way too much of the fun away not too mention the heat.
friday night dinner was pasta with tomato sauce.
saturday I had a bowl of oatmeal, two pitas with hummus, large slice of brie, lots of water, a leek-olive tartlette, a bowl of mushroom and barley soup- well actually more like broth as there were way too many mushrooms to pick out so I just drank the broth and tossed the mushrooms and barley, a roll and two mt dews. I spent most of saturday walkingup and down the mountain paths. I was aching and sore but had much fun.
sunday was two eggs with herbed brie for breakfast and fried potatoes. Had two mountains dews, a hand full of cherries and then after I got home took Jim out for father's day for steak. He had steak and I had a salad and french fries. plus much water and lemonade. I think though that all the calories I consumed this weekend were used up in toting and lifting and carting stuff around the mountain.

can't remember what I ate today as I got a call around 12:00 from the hospital that Timony had been hit by a car while driving her motorcycle. When we got home I made her some mama ramen and then she proceeded to eat most of what we had in the fridge.

dinner became cauliflower and potato curry with lots of water. I was so tired when I got home from the bike ride and then when I went to bed at 9 found I could not sleep. I think it had to do with the fact that Jim is working odd hours this week so I knew he would be home at 11:30 and part of me was waiting for him. All the same, I would rather have had sleep.

June 10-14

Well it was a strange week with not a ton of food or of bike riding. I was in the airport wednesday night much later than I would like and then much longer the next day. Which is good because i had very little pocket money and so did not console myself with fried foods. It is true I do like them when I am feeling low. and bread- chewy bread products. Funny after the girls were born, I remember how empty I felt and how bread was the food that filled me and brought some peace to the feeling of anxiousness.
I made pad thai for dinner on friday night, zucchini with chickpeas and couscous for saturday night. Sunday I made breakfast burritoes and cookies for this weeks merriment. the girls are road tripping with my folks to North Carolina and I have a camping trip scheduled.

up at 5:30 I must have turned my alarm off as I have no recollection of it sounding. Wove a little on the baby loom. Road my bike in this morning through some think fog. It was lovely but there is a part of me that was expecting some mutant creature on 8 legs to come tromping out of the mists. I did have the pleasure of two herons flying with me for a little bit.

Mystery was solved and I had ramen and milk. I am a little sad that ramen has come back into my life. It is so easy and there when I know I need to eat but really don't want to think about what to eat.

I have been pretty good on what I eat lately. With Avalon home I am cooking more so we have good leftovers on scrounge night. Better than a bunch of chips! My soda intake has been 2 cans a day. And I have been drinking water. We did a bunch of yard work this weekend. Paid a neighbor to pull the weeds on the flagstone patio. I swear next summer I am just going to burn it down and the cement it all in. I am sooo sick of goatheads.
Finished warping up my loom down stairs and started the upstairs one. Both or interesting weave structures.

This dish is from Egypt and seems simple enough but is really complex in flavors and textures and well one of my favorites. It is a bit of a pain in the hinny to make so I don't do it very often

lunch is a Quorn pattie sandwich on rye bread with swiss cheese and a pickle. There is milk here at work so will have that to drink with it.
Dinner is chalupas. Fried tortilla with refried beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese and green onions. Good chance that will have sour cream and salsa on it as well.
I have missed cooking for the family but still need to work on keeping the amounts down

Weekend was good- well good emotionally but I over ate on saturday and had too many sodas on sunday.
I went shopping with the girls on saturday for swimsuits. I am kind of sad I won't be with them this year at the NC trip. But it will be nice that my mom and dad will have all their grandkids with them for this trip.

Sunday was a me and Avalon day- we made new curtains for her bedroom and just sort of putzed around the house. She played the wii while I was warping my loom and watching her.
We went for a walk and about 10 stepes from the house I twisted my ankle on the curb-owie.

It was hard to get moving this morning. I made the mistake of crawling back into bed after my shower. mmmmmm wanted to stay all snugly and warm.
breakfast was a burrito with potato, eggs, cheese and cilantro.
Lunch today will be a piece of cheese pizza and a glass of milk
Having a cup of peppermint tea right now. I have no doubt that there will be a soda in my future.
There will be risotto for dinner with a green salad and milk.

So I have been a total schmoo about posting this month. I like the blog- it keeps me mostly honest and i have notice that I am changing some of my habits. Not sure why I haven't been posting much lately. I will get back into the daily habit. I really am a creature of habit so once I get the habit established I tend to keep it. So what happened last week? no excuse- I have no idea. Just didn't blog. I did ride my bike in twice last week. I will only be able to ride in once this week as the weather has been cool and rainy. I did discover a bad, wicked wonderful thing- cinnamon coke. Oh my!

strange weekend, I spent most of it trying to relax and reduce my stress levels. So I warped up my looms, read a book, watched star trek, ate moderately, more grazing than meals.
had tomato soup for dinner on saturday
sunday made poached eggs with cheese and pesto on an english muffin.
lunch was a vege reuben sandwich
dinner was pasta
I had made cinnamon buns so I had one of those for dessert.

The small accident on my bike affected more than I realized. It seems it wasn't the fall but landing that really hurt. Jolted all my joints. I woke up this morning stiff and bruised in more places than I realized. I called into work for a few hours of more rest.
Been hard to get moving but now that I am things are feeling better.
My hunny brought me a huge cup of Kauai coffee this morning. It was lovely.
Had a mt dew when I finally made it in to work.
Lunch was a cheese sandwich and big cup of water.
Having another mt dew now.
Dinner is either spaghetti or scrounge.
We are going to see the new Star trek movie tonight. That should be fun and I suspect that if I don't make dinner there will be junk food.

I didn't eat breakfast- which is something I really hate doing as I am usually a mess with out it.
True to form as I was riding my bike in to work, I squeezed my front breaks too hard and took a tumble. Nothing too bad, road rash on my knee and elbow and I will probably have some lovely bruises in a day or two.
Having a cup of tea now and some water.
Lunch will be more spinach feta noodles.
Probably will have a soda this afternoon. I might see if I can trick myself with the celestial seasonings green tea mix.
Dinner is potato pizza and salad.

Up early, weaving, water and 1/2 can of mt dew. I canfeel it be sneaking and trying to get back into my life.

May 2 & 3 &4

Weekend was filled with much activity and food. Saturday wasn't too bad except my caffeine intake. That was over the top. Sunday was good with moderation in meals breakfast was out with Holly and I ate until full, which did not clear my plate. Lunch was a pot luck with my fiber friends. I brought insalata caprese (fresh mozzerella, fresh basil, tomato slices, drizzled with olive oil and salt) and strawberries stuffed with cream cheese that had been slightly sweeten and flavored with orange flower water. Every one else had brought equally yummy stuff. My caffeine intake was very good. Dinner was mac and cheese with corn, black beans and salsa.
Monday was too many sodas- three mt dews and one sprite. Plus a cup of black tea. Lunch was smoked almonds and two string cheeses. Dinner was left over mac and cheese.
Big event coming up this weekend and I am trying hard to get a bunch of stuff done as well as being very nervous about the whole event.

found it very hard to wake up this morning. I am still have trouble. I thought I slept well. i did dream about walking through the desert so maybe I wore myself out in my sleep.
Had two pieces of toast and mt dew for breakfast. When I got here to work my sis had left me a huge plate of lovely fruit. I had blueberry, grapes, raspberries and strawberries. As well as a cup of black tea.
Not sure what lunch will be as my brain did not engage this morning and time is moving much faster than I am.

saturday started off good. Light breakfast of oatmeal. and a glass of coke.
Then I went to the store- bad idea bought the a case of throwback mt dew, made with sugar.
And bought some ramen- bad bad bad
had both ramen and mt dew- had to open two mt dews to do the taste test and all.
Dinner was tofu with garlic sauce and lo mein noodles
Benefit was lots and lots of water

Sunday was a brunch buffet with my folks. Had an omelet with tomatoes and onions, fried potatoes- bad idea as the visited most of the day, a cheese blinz cover with blackberry and strawberries. big glass of water
lunch I had left over tofu & garlic sauce
had a couple mt dews through the day- just two so I was glad about that.
Then I made dinner- I tried a new recipe
potato pizza. I made the dough from scratch then threw a couple potatoes in the mircowave. I think I left them in there too long as they were supposed to slice nicely but ended up crumbled.
I had already covered the dough with crushed rosemary, olive oil and garlic/. I sprinkled the potatoes over the crust and then covered them with moz and parm cheese and 1/2 cream. It was amazing and Timony and I could not stop eating it. Ate way too much and stayed up way too late

Had 2 mt dews and tried an experiment. I drank one at 3:00 for an extra booster pack for the ride home. It worked but caffeine that late keeps me up at night with my mind whirling. But the upside is that I have a couple cool ideas for weaving projects.

It is chinese tuesday so lunch will be tofu with garlic sauce, white rice and hot and sour soup. The best part about this lunch is that I drink just tons of water.
I predict that there is another caffeinated soda in my future
Dinner is Pad Thai with Tofu and more water! Don't know what I did but the Pad thai came out like yuck. so Pad thai to garbage and had a klondike bar instead. Much healthier choice

Dinner tonight is bean and rice burritos with salsa, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. and a glass of milk.

had a good weekend.
very productive and kept the food mostly healthy and light. Did have two sodas on sat and sun. But also rode my bike to work on sunday to clean the plant and the rode it back home a couple hours later. weather looks like it will continue to be excellent all week. Drank lots of water all weekend. My nephew helped me put on a rack on my bike so I now have these bags that hook on. That will make the ride in easier as I won't have to have a back pack and can tote more. It is mostly the clothes as I were more layers in the morning and then peel them back depending on the afternoon weather.

started off good- 5:00am and water and weaving. Breakfast was a breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese and potato. I did have a coke with breakfast.
Bought some almonds for the snack shelf here at work. Had about 20 and drinking water
Lunch is egg salad. All those eggs we have fun dyeing have to become something else! On a roll with lettuce, tomato and pickle. Will have a mt dew with lunch but will really work on that being the last one of the day. I really blew my soda intake this weekend so I am aware that I will probably get some headaches tonight but I really want to get back to two or less a day.

Dinner is leftovers from this weekend.

Wish I could just write off this whole weekend- no control or self restraint on food or soda. Worst part about it was I didn't just say "okay I am having a crappy food weekend' I just kept eating more going- ugh- why am I eating. I bought more ramen.
Saturday started off good but quickly ran away with chocolate and peeps. Then the soda came along to make me try to recover from the sugar crash. GRrrr- I say grrr at me.
On the good side, the weather is nice so I can be riding my bike more this week.

Did very good this weekend with caffeine, however I bought Ramen- why did I buy it? I don't know but I did buy three packages of it on sunday. I had on sunday afternoon and the other monday morning. Thank Goodness Timony ate the other package.
I had a bunch of busy work for myself with weaving planned. I got a bunch of warp chains made up and labeled, I went hunting in the scarey closet and found the stuff for a different project, I also was reminded of who much silk I have and that I should make it into stuff, I sewed two new garments for the SCA a linen underdress and an overdress, I did all my regular weekend stuff, warped up two of the small looms and finished weaving my blanket.
Food wise, I ate moderately and drank much water and watered cranberry juice. I did have a cup of coffee on saturday with enough sugar and milk to make it drinkable. had just two mt dews all weekend. That makes me feel good.

Jim is very funny about me sleeping in when he is home. They changed his days off this week and so he had thursday and friday off. I usually have the alarm set for 5 but he wakes up before 5 and shuts it off. The he comes up a bit after five and says to me - why don't you sleep in this morning.
When I just wake up- I am very susceptible to suggestions and so I do. Then when he comes to get me two hours later, I am a bit frustrated at missing that time for weaving or whatever else I do in the am. But he says he likes it if one of us gets to sleep in. So I guess he is using me for vicarious sleeping in.
Up at 7:00 glass of oj and bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.
Having a cup of mint tea at 8:30
lunch is a green salad with blue cheese, craisins and poppyseed dressing. With 16 oz of water and 1/2 a bagel. I was hoping that I was only going to have 1 mt dew today but the second one is open and leering at me, like it knows all my weaknesses.

Did not make eggs for diner instead had popcorn. mmmmm with a couple glasses of water. Made my tummy much more happy.

I think that I am just going to resign myself to sleeping in on mondays and tuesdays with my man. He seems to like it and I know I do.
Slept in this morning but once up had a cup of tea and two pieces of toast with butter.
Having mint tea and water right now. I was think about the pizza thing and what I came up with as an image harkend back to when I was first pregnant. One of the things I liked about being preggers was the sense of fullness that I had. And during taht time I had a lot of cheese sandwiches on thick and fluffy bread. After I gave birth I was very dismayed by how empty I felt. And that was not just a figurative thing as Timony was an 11 pound baby. I was very empty. One of the things I found myself doing was eating thick and fluffy bread to fill myself back up. I think Pizza still has that role in my life- at least the deep dish kind.
Lunch was 1/2 of a order of tofu with garlic sauce and 32 oz of water.
dinner is Arancini de Riso and steamed asparagus. will have a glass of milk as well
did have ice cream tonight with fudge sauce mmmm
But on the plus side made it through the day only drinking ***1*** can of mt dew!

started today off with sleeping in after a restless night. Both my hunny and I tossed and turned and got up a couple times in the night.

Woke up early on friday had a bunch of water.
lunch was mac and cheese with corn and salsa
the was a mt dew on my way to the mtns and one while in the mtns.
helped set up an event at the girl scout camp for my medieval group. Toted a lot of bails. :)
dinner was a bowl of spinach and white bean soup with a piece of bread.
A piece of chocolate or two was passed around.

Saturday I was up at 5:00. The moon was just rising and the stars were absolutely amazing. It was fairly warm and a winds was just rising.
7:00 breakfast was a glass of oj a bowl of oatmeal with raisins and dried apricots. the was a mt dew before breakfast
Lunch was deep fried rice balls in tomato sauce, a green salad, and a couple anise cookies and meringues.
there has a couple small pieces of pizza in the afternoon and a cup of tea.
Dinner was a bowl of soup with a home made spinach ravioli, and a bowl of mushroom risotto. I picked out as many mushrooms as I could. A bunch of gouda cheese and some grapes. I drank just tons of water as I was at 9000 feet and not inclined to dehydrate

Sunday I was up at 5:00 again the wind was too much so I crawled back into my sleeping place until 7:00.
breakfast was a bowl of rice pudding a some more cheese and two mt dews. I had a nasty bad head ache and so drank much water and a glass of oj.
drove down from the camp and had to do the bi weekly cleaning of the work place. had some water. Lunch was an ice cream bar, bowl of chips and a glass of milk.
Dinner was 4 pieces of cheese pizza- what the heck was up with that? Not sure but it was tasty and felt like just the right thing to eat. of course it was too much.

march 19

even though I try on a regular schedule to get up at 5:00am, I was up this morning at 3:30- that extra hour and 1/2 seemed obscenely too early. I had to get Timony to the airport by 5:15. I did end up having two strawberry poptarts and a glass of milk. I also had a mt dew on the drive home.
Then I crawled back into bed and over slept. Woke up and jumped into a shower and scarfed a couple lettuce wraps and another mt dew. That will through me off for the day. :( I have been wobbling on my soda resolution lately. Will have to really work on that. I have reason to want to work on it. I put on a shirt I bought a couple years ago and hadn't worn much lately. Usually it gets caught on my tummy and I have to pull it down to it's regular length. But today it slid over me belly and went to it place all nice like. That was very thrilling.
Had a cup of tea and multi vitamin and now am buzzing along happily. ]
Not sure what lunch will be but will make sure I drink some water to offset the over caffeination.

now I am trying yo back fill this blog and have NO CLUE as to what I had for dinner this night.

March 18

Up early and sewed the towels that came off the loom yesterday.
Had water. Breakfast was an egg over easy, two pieces of toast and a glass of cranberry juice.
Lunch was lettuce wrap
had a couple anise seed cookies
cup of tea in the am
2 cans of mt dew
Dinner was a grilled cheese sandwich and cup of tomato soup. I also had a glass of milk with dinner.
had 1/3 of a cup of vanilla ice cream before bed.

march 17th

up at 5 with weaving and water- the project came off the baby loom- yippee!
breakfast was oatmeal with butter and milk and brown sugar. I had a glass of cranberry juice.
rode into work this morning! I packed my water bottle and tea cup!
So now I am enjoying my am cup of tea. mmmm peppermint.

Whoa- so where did the rest of the day go? I have no idea now what all happened the rest of this day. I think I might have made sukiyaki for dinner but recall not being hungry for dinner until much later.

march 16

started up bright and shiny at 5:00 water and weaving
then took my shower and snuggled into bed with sleeping husband. That was a mistake- well not a mistake as I enjoyed the extra sleep with him but did get the rest of my morning off bumpy. I was about 15 minutes late for work. Left my water bottle and tea cup at home. :(
I have had a bagel with cream cheese and a mt dew for breakfast
lunch was a lettuce wrap with brown rice and tofu and a multi vitamin.
ended up having a total of three mt dews today- phooey
dinner was left overs and the nice thing about that is I tend not to over eat.
I played a couple games of tennis on the wii- which is fun and funny as I really am pretty darn crappy at time. I actually swung into the bookcase for the first time and really understood the warnings they give at the beginning of each and every game.

march 14 & 15

Spent most of saturday reading with little nibbles through out the day. I made popcorn, had a couple slices of baguette with brie cheese, an orange, couple glasses of water and of cranberry juice. I did have two glasses of coke. Watched a couple episodes of next gen curled up in my hunny's arms.
Sunday was regular work stuff. I made cookies for next weekends event. Anise seed and meringues. I also made colcannon for dinner and even served corned beef to those in the house who eat corned beef. went shopping and started laundry. Realized that I should dust occasionally.
I also used the wii to bowl and play tennis. Now people laugh about the wii being any good for fitness but I broke a sweat playing tennis. so I guess it does get me up and moving. I should also not that the computer kicked my hiney at tennis.
I know my life is not the stuff of high drama right now- And I am so Okay with that.
Weather looks like it will be great this week so I can ride my bike in. I am asking me mum for bike bags for my birthday as that will eliminate one of the issues I have with carrying different clothes.

march 13th

up at five but really wanted to sleep- weaving with water to drink and I cracked a can of mt dew. that was when I realized that I had had four of the insidious drinks yesterday. so I did take a few sips from the can but mostly drank water.
Breakfast was swiss cheese sandwich and a glass of milk. I find myself longing for ham lately. No other meat, just ham. I will make sure I take my multi vitamin today.

Tonight is d&d and I am sure I will make some kind of snack food stuff- I am thinking artichoke dip- hot and garlicy might be helpful for the cold. Then tomorrow I can sleep in all day. In fact I think I will plan to block out the day from doing too much of anything.

tonight is a scrounge night penne ala vodka left overs
grrrr to me- I had 4 mt dews today and a tea-grr grrg rgrr
I am feeling a bit down with a cold and I guess I just thought that the soda would wake me up. What I should probably do is stay home and sleep- but will I? not so much. I will try to be very cognizant of what I drink tomorrow and take a couple extra tea bags of lemon ginger with me to work.

Up at 5- yippee- it was a hard fight for me to get out of bed but i did and I had water with my weaving.
7:00 1/3 cup brown rice, 1/4 tofu 1tablepsoon peanut sauce, 3 lettuce leaves and more water.
put on a pair of jeans that have been sort of my running weight gauge lately and sadly they are not as loose as they have been. I can still get them off without unbuttoning them but I have to do this wiggle. but I have been eating a bunch of crap this weekend and week.
had a cup of tea
lunch was a swiss cheese sandwich and a small bag of b-b-q potato chips.
had a can of mt dew and am now drinking some water.
Dinner tonight is black bean pasties, garlic green beans and milk. I am making extra for a friend who just got out of surgery.
had a small bowl of vanilla ice cream with cinnamon.

Yes! I was up at 5 and got my loom already for weaving. Had a big glass of water by my side but did not drink much.
breakfast was 4 slices of baguette with chopped tomato, fresh basil garlic and a bit of mozzarella cheese, glass of milk and multi vitamin.

lunch was lo-mien noodles and 32 oz of water. they had a nice ginger dressing.
had a mt dew and will probably have another later.
when I got home I ate a bowl of b-b-q chips and had a glass of milk
THEN ate a bowl of penne ala vodka and more milk
I was so full- I have been full since sunday.
I think I am going to try a fast on the weekend. Me and fasting don't do well when I have to actually think.

march 9th

Had a crap night of sleep. I almost am getting worried that the nights that Jim is home I am having troubles sleeping. It is almost like I have to get used to him in the bed again and I am super sensitive to any of my movements. I worry I will disturb him. He also has that same concern, that he will disturb me. SO I did not get up early- did not have water. Feels like I am pulling my limbs through mud. Which has the effect that I want to drink more caffeine to shake the muzzy headed feeling from me.
Breakfast was two piece of swiss cheese on a roll and mircowaved for a minute. can of mt dew.
Here at work having another mt dew -yes already. I am frustrated at myself for drinking it but can not pull my head out.
I did not pack a lunch so will probably have a yogurt as I have a couple here at work. and I am looking forward to having a light meal after yesterdays crazy foodness.

We are having dinner with a couple of friends at a chinese restaurant tonight.
I hate the time change. I wonder if that is also a part of my feeling thick. It also means that the sun won't be up as far yet for a bike ride into work. We are supposed to have snow tonight so maybe that will answer that problem for a week at least. Then by next week it will be up earlier and all will be right with the world.
Dinner was nice- ended up talking for about three hours.

March 7 &8

Saturday was a good day- pretty much typical for what I normally do. Ate well had plenty of water. Now sunday was a very different beast. Started ok but around 4 went to pot. I went to a frineds house to play wii with them and they had all sorts of wonderful bad for me food, pizza snacks, jalapenos poppers, vege eggrolls, vegetables and hummus, I made little french bread pizza thingys, soda. I will take some comfort in the fact that I don't eat like that every day and nothing had been re-deep fried.
We had a lot of fun and laughed a bunch. I brought my wiimotes and so four of us could bowl at a time. It was fun and nice not to have the weight of the actual ball.

march 6th

Up at 5 wasn't really thirsty so had a tea cup of water.
Breakfast was a couple lettuce wraps and a glass of tea. Now even though i really wanted a mt dew I went with tea instead. You might think- tea has caffeine so what is the big deal. And Yes tea does have caffeine but but nearly as much as mt dew or as much sugar.
Lunch is a big green salad with tomatoes, blue cheese dressing and a smattering of baco-bits. I do get a craving for that fakin bacon flavor now and again. Will have more water and tea. I did have a mt dew this afternoon and I am trying hard to keep it at one. just one.
Oh the irony- so I did only have mt dew all day! Yeah me! But and here is the ironic part, when I got home I was hungry and nothing was satisfying me. I munched on some popcorn from the night before. While it tasted good I still felt hollow. We had chinese take away for dinner. I got tofu with garlic sauce- again good but not filling. Then Timony shared her Lo mein noodles- I ate about half of them. I don't know if it was the taste or the texture but they felt right. Very reminiscent of ramen I suppose. But also hit the -ah yes I am not full spot. Of course by the time that was tripped I had eaten way too much. phooey

march 5

I had a very hard time waking up this morning but eventually I drug myself out of bed. No weaving or water. I think I like having deadlines as I feel that I am much more driven if I know it has to be done.
breakfast was 2 leaves of lettuce, 1/3 brown rice, 1/4 cup tofu, 1tsp peanut sauce and some cilantro. I really really am grooving on having this in the am. I was sort of reluctant to try it but it is more satisfying than I thought it would be and tasty!
Had a cup of rose tea with too much sugar and 8oz of water. I rode my bike in today and got stopped by a train. That took the steam out of my ride and man-o-man I was wishing I had driven in. It was beautiful but I was having a hard time on the last stretch. The wind has picked up and I have gusts up to 60 miles per hour to look forward to. As long as it blows east/ south east I will be happy and probably will make excellent time.
Lunch was a cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I had two mt dews. One before and one after lunch. 8oz of water
I had an extra soda before my ride home. I told myself I was fortifying for the ride. I think I tell myself stuff I want to hear sometimes.
Dinner was 2 lettuce wraps- I think that they have taken the place of ramen- what a great thing.
16 oz of water.
Ended up making popcorn so had a bunch of popcorn with butter and nutritional yeast. Also had 24 oz of water

up at 5:00 water by my side I only drank about 16 oz this morning as I spilled the rest and spent most of the morning cursing as I had to clean it up.

Dinner was UFO's ( biscuit dough around brown rice and black beans) cauliflower and cheese sauce. I had two helpings of the cauliflower and manage to eat about 2/3rd of my UFO. Timony ran off with the rest of mine, smothered it in cheese sauce and eat it up with glee.

Started the morning nearly on time. 5:30 got my big loom all warped up and ready to weave on. But, here is the funny part, I have to warp up the little n downstairs instead. I am taking a weaving class at the end of March and will need it empty in time to warp up before the class. So the project must be on and done soon. If I get it done with plenty of time I will not warp anything back up on it. That will be hard for me.
Anyway breakfast was two lettuce leaves, 1/3 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup tofu 1/4 cup salsa and about the same of shredded cheese. The cheese makes it too much I think. I am going to just have to do some more experiments with it all. Big glass of tea with breakfast.
Rode my bicycle into work this morning and the wind was not my friend. Having 32 oz of water right now with a mt dew chaser
lunch was tofu and garlic sauce with rice and more water.
Did have another mt dew this afternoon
Dinner was 2 slices of cheese, a pickle and lettuce leaf with a small amount of mayo

march 2

Jim home today so I lingered in bed. Love those mornings and also have a smidge of guilt with them as I feel so unproductive.
Breakfast was 1/3 cup of brown rice, 1/4 cup stir fried tofu, 3 pieces of lettuce, 1 tbsp peanut sauce and a delicious sprinkling of cilantro. Then I ruined it all by having a cup of coffee. You see by the time I add enough sugar and milk to make it drinkable- I might as well be drinking a soda. Did also have some water. My hunny made up some of the coffee from Kauai so we had a nice morning drinking it and discussing the budget.
9:00 brought around my cuppa tea
11:30 lunch was a nice green salad with the last of the blue cheese and craisans. I also threw some spinach in with the greens and a small number of croutons. Had a soda and 23 oz of water with it. Did also take my multi-vitamin. I take a wonderful multi but I don't remember to take it daily- sometimes it is only monthly that I take it but since I am working on better health- well multis are important. so I am also taking notes on when I do take them.
I really like the brown rice for breakfast as it is so very filling
Dinner tonight is Moroccan potato casserole and cous cous. Will probably have a glass of milk with it as well.
