nov 30

up at 5:00 finished weaving a blanket and cut it off. Had a cup of tea.
Breakfast was a egg, potato and cheese burrito.
Had a mtdew when I got to work.
Lunch is a pbj and an apple. I will have a big glass of water with it.
will have second mt dew this afternoon.
Dinner is risotto and green beans.


It has been a year since we have been writing. I think it is still a good thing to do. 1 is makes me really think about what I have been eating. 2 it points out some very bad habits that I need to kick. 3. keeps me in touch with you a little more

Nov 21-29

I was up everyday at 5:00 and got a great amount of weaving done. Four projects on and off the looms. Did not quite get all I wanted but a really good chuck, so I am pleased.
I ate fairly well- healthy anyway. I kept my soda consumption way down until saturday. I felt the pressure of ending my vacation and the desire to get more done so drank three on both sat and sun. Sigh.
Each day had breakfast and some other meal. Sometimes it was lunch and sometimes dinner. I felt very good about the week.

nov 20

Up early and actually did a good bit of weaving and more important got excited about weaving. I have been putzing around the last couple weeks and i actually became excited over what was on my loom. It had been there for a couple months and I just was not looking forward to weaving it at all.
Breakfast was a croissant and ginger ale
Having mt dew right now

not sure about lunch but that will get sussed out soon enough
Dinner is beer cheese soup. Those onions I had been soaking in beer are going to be drained away and thrown out and I will be using the liquid for soup base. that will make Timony sooo happy as she won't have to pick out the onions but we all will still get the onion flavor.

nov 19th

up early at least for a few minutes
took a coupe aspirin for nasty bad headache with a little oj and went back to bed
got up again later feeling much better. Had cup of cinnamon tea, croissant and lovely oatmeal for breakfast.
had a mt dew
lunch was a cheese sandwich and some tasty but bad for me onion sour cream chips
had other mt dew.
Dinner was supposed to be Kosheri but I think it may not be due to the onions freezing and they may not make good onion rings. I will give it a try but suspect slime will ensure rather than crisp fried onion goodness.
Dinner turned out to be stirred egg with tomato and rice. Yum!

nov 18

up early but frittered away my morning. I tried warping my loom but kept making huge and stupid mistakes. So I figured the universe was telling me to stop. Who am I to argue with the universe?
Had a mt dew with breakfast. Breakfast was a poached egg with cheddar cheese and english muffin.
I have been very consciously trying not to push my soda limit as I had my first one early.
Have had two cups of herbal tea
Lunch was leftover tofu with garlic sauce and noodles and much water.
I will have another soda but trying hard to make it for later this afternoon.
Don't have any idea what is for dinner yet.
dinner was some mock chicken soup. Avalon has the crud now and the amount of garlic in that soup will either cure or kill. She was still walking after eating it. That could be a good sign or she is a zombie.

Up early had mt dew.
but I got a lot of housework done
breakfast was oatmeal and some grapes
I am having my typical tuesday lunch of tofu with garlic sauce and hot andsour soup with the leftovers being lunch tomorrow. Big glass of water with lunch
Dinner tonight is Pizza at at friends house

nov 16

Up early and wove with a lovely cup of tea by my side
breakfast was a poached egg on english muffin
lunch was spaghettios those are all gone and I just need to be very sure I am packing my monday lunch
had two mt dews
dinner was 1 1/2 grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup and a glass of milk

So I am thinking I am only a day or so behind when it turns out I am a week behind.

Had a good weekend. My brother in Law and his girlfriend flew out from N.H. and were their arms sore! They came out for a week but motored around the state a bit. They went up to estes park for a romantic night then over to Wyoming to see Colleen.
I cooked a thanksgiving dinner for everyone one friday. Of course the fridge decided to be going out. Not really but the little vent from the freezer to the fridge part decided not to open very much. So things stayed cool enough but not cold.
Saturday was putzing around with my hunny doing crafty stuff. then saturday night we went out for dinner with friends. I had a garden burger and fries.
Sunday was odd- I didn't have breakfast- remember I said no more ramen. But then I went grocery shopping and bought jalapeno poppers.
i did stay on track with just two sodas a day. I am getting ready for the big drop to just one after Christmas.

lunch was hot and sour soup and 1/2 order of tofu with garlic sauce and big glass water

nov 9th

Up early had a cup of chai and peanutbutter toast for breakfast
lunch was spaghettioes and water
I had my two sodas throughout the day
dinner tonight could be quiche with a glass of milk. I will let you know what it really is.
Wow I wish that was what I had for dinner but instead I had a french fry sandwich. I learned about these bad boys while in England and man o man do I crave them now and again- fortunately not often!

nov 6-7-8

friday was a great day until the end. We had a surprise party for a friend and that for some reason entailed a lot of cheese. I like cheese. Of course there are consequences for eating too much cheese.
Saturday and sunday were regular days kept to my soda limits and ate well. Although I find myself craving a chip body right now ( while in England I was introduced to these horrible wonderful things) It is like a hamburger but with no meat and french fries in the middle. Yum.

Nov 5th

Up early weaving with a big glass of water and a cup of tea.
Breakfast was ramen and milk not so good I know
had two dews
lunch was tofu, white rice and peanut sauce. Big glass of water
thought I was doing good
sigh
no dinner but snacked on brie, grapes, and crackers. Had a class I supposed to be teaching but no one showed up. Ate chips and queso and a cup of coke
THEN my friends and I went out to TGIF where I had deep fried green beans and water.
sleeping after eating deep fried green beans with wasabi ranch dressing- not a good thing.
yep it had been a good day that went bad.

Up early weaving away! I do like the time change in the fall. Not so keen on it in the spring.
Anyway breakfast was scrambled eggs and toast with mint tea

lunch was left over tofu with garlic sauce and big glass of water
dinner tonight is zucchini ankara (chick peas, zucchini, onions, garlic and lemon over cous-sous with feta cheese)

slipped and had ramen and milk for breakfast- will have to work harder on that

lunch was hot and sour soup and 1/2 of an order of tofu with garlic sauce and white rice and lots of water.
had another mt dew. I am planning that by Jan I will be down to one a day.
no dinner tonight

Ended up eating cottage cheese and doritoes when I got home from my meeting.

Nov 2nd

Well we are in our 1 year anniversary of writing the blog.
Last week I finally got real sick- woohoo! actually it was a relief. I gave myself time to be ill and rest. Like I really had a choice? Anyway, I had not much of an appetite but was very thirsty and drank much tea and ginger ale. It started on tuesday and I really did not get hungry again until friday night at 1:00 in the morning. I woke up so incredibly starving. My illness was well timed with a big old snow storm last week. I did end up cooking almost every night while I was home. I did eat during that time but not much.
I found my stomach had shrunk as well so portion control was simple. Add to that I was not drinking caffeinated soda or tea and so when I did actually have a can of coke, that was a heady experience!
Up early, got all the clean clothes put away and the kitchen cleaned.
breakfast was oatmeal and two pieces of toast and a cup of peach tea.
I have been nursing a mt dew all morning
I think lunch is going to be spaghettieos.
dinner tonight is pad thai. Tofu, rice noodles and peanut sauce- yum!
